It
is a sad fact the big wide world outdoors is not too safe for
cats and kittens. There is risk of being stolen, the risk of serious
incurable diseases when cats fight and also road traffic accidents
to name but a few dangers. This is why many people now keep their cats as
indoor pets or with the benefit of cat proofed cat gardens and enclosures.
It is therefore a good idea to harness train kittens from the age of 8
weeks old - breeders can then let their kittens go to new homes knowing
they are trained.
We make very soft
lightweight harness and leads for training purposes that can last up to
the age of 16 weeks. These have smaller fittings to keep the harness light
and comfortable. There is a very small degree of stretch in the leather
(hence the 16 week age limit) just enough to give more flexibility
and comfort for the small kittens.
